When I reviewed Panda's previous version, it did well in tests by the independent antivirus labs. Of the five labs I follow, Panda currently participates with just two.

Antivirus utilities that earn at least 17.5 points from AV-Test earn the appellation Top Product. In the latest test, Kaspersky took a perfect 18 points, while Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition and Trend Micro managed 17.5.

Analysts at MRG-Effitas put products through two tests, one specific to banking Trojans and one using a full spectrum of malware types. Roughly 30 percent of products tested failed both tests, Panda among them.
